Aero L-39ZA Albatros - HpH1/32 - PART 1

Guess I fell in love with 1/32 scale kits, so right after Trumpeter's F-14D I'm starting to work on this one - HpH's full resin L-39 Albatros.

A bit of a self-praise

What can I say, award from contest like MMS (http://www.mosonshow.hu/) always feels great.

Boeing 747-8 Zvezda 1/144

Great news! Huge airliner model kit and it's newly tooled. Zvezda continues to use Boeing's licence and releases the latest civilian jet produced by US manufacturer - the future Jumbo, Boeing 747-8.
Those of you already having seven-four-seven in 1/144 scale from Revell or Airfix are aware of its size. The box is really big, has to house over 150 parts to build 53cm long model.

Volvo 850 - Tamiya 1/24

Got lucky this time. I had no idea that such kit exists, found it on ebay while searching for some Volvo spare parts. Being passionate for Swedish car manufacturer I couldn't resist for too long and entered the auction. Won it (55USD + shipping) and a week later the box reached my workbench.

Modeling Scissors for photo-etched parts

Last time I visited LHS, got this neat pair of scissors recommended for removing photo-etched parts from supporting trees. Since my very first contact with PE parts I have been using sharp blade to cut it away. Besides destroying the blade itself over the time there is unwanted parts bending side-effect in many cases. Based on the description, this is avoided when using Tamiya Modeling Scissors for photo-etched parts.

BAE Hawk T.1A - Airframe 1/72

Here is my latest 1/72nd scale build. I was so impressed with amazing paint job on this demo aircraft that I put this project above any other already planned builds.

INBOX: EA-18G Growler - Hasegawa 1/72

It's been a frequent topic for discussions, what's gonna Hasegawa put into their own Growler box after Dragon's kit has been released early 2011 (Hasegawa's Superhornet original release with Dragon's extra sprue) and not fully covering all the differences for the EA-6 Prowler successor.

Tips and Tricks: Airliner windows masking

Ever wondered how to paint airliner kit where clear plastic parts imitate passenger's windows? Well, there's at least one simple method. It's based on masking of the windows prior gluing them into the hull.
